    Re: Heisman Hopefuls...Who's your pick?

Geeesh almighty, I do not agree with that. Hype is wonderful, but that's been previous Notre Dame QBs before they ever played a down, but I don't see that on this guy, because he wasn't hyped coming into the year. It's been built up by his numbers and performance, and yes, his team winning. Overly hyped numbers can be a factor, some BYU quarterbacks come to mind, but saying that due to a jersey they get attention takes away from guys like oh I don't know, Steve Young. Sure going to Notre Dame gives him more attention, just like going to USC, Michigan, etc does.

I mean the numbers for Quinn are

    Brady Quinn 157 332 1831 47.3 5.52 9 15 93.5 (2003)
    Brady Quinn 191 353 2586 54.1 7.33 17 10 125.9 (2004)
    Brady Quinn 175 266 2352 65.8 8.84 20 4 161.9 (2005)

I mean how about giving some credit for him actually improving and warranting the attention instead of just saying oh lord he's Notre Dame. I mean his number last year weren't horrible, but I never heard a whisper of his name. Not saying he deserves it but to say that someone like Shockley or Croyle deserve it, over him, come on.

    D.J. Shockley 95 164 1538 57.9 9.38 12 4 156.0
    Brodie Croyle 137 221 1814 62.0 8.21 12 2 147.0
    Brady Quinn 175 266 2352 65.8 8.84 20 4 161.9

I mean what are we saying, that Quinn's numbers aren't against good competition?? Come on, give the man a bit of credit even if *gasp* he goes to Notre Dame. I mean he may not be the greatest athlete ever to play QB, and he may not have been great over his career, but I didn't think this was a career award?

What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

Yeah I gotta say GC is hating big time on this one. Kiper is mentioning Quinn as the top quarterback taken in the 07 draft, that says everything.

    Re: Heisman Hopefuls...Who's your pick?

As to who will win the Heisman, I really have no idea. The talent level for this years decision is SO HIGH.

A reflecting question to this topic is which player do you like watching the most? I personally stop doing whatever I am doing at the moment to watch Vince Young play. The guy is big, strong, true leader, smart, and oh yea, FAST. Give anything to be as athletic as this guy.

    Re: Heisman Hopefuls...Who's your pick?

I probably will stop and watch either Bush or Vick, since either one seems to be able to make 'great athletes' look horrible. I would guess Young is in the same group, just haven't watched him enough to say that.

Reggie Bush has made my jaw drop at least one time in every game he has played this season.
